2020 Mercedes-Benz GLB vs. 2020 Lexus UX

The new Mercedes-Benz GLB creates a new step forward in the luxury compact SUV segment with solid performance, a spacious interior, luxurious amenities, new technology and more. Here, we compare the GLB to a new competitor, the 2020 Lexus UX.

Get ready for performance in the 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLB

The GLB features a 2.0 turbocharged four-cylinder that generates 221 horsepower with an impressive and 258 lb-ft of torque. This delivers a confident response, giving the GLB an extra push on busy roads. The engine pairs with an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission for added performance and faster shifting. The GLB also features standard AWD.

The UX 200 incorporates a 2.0 naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine that reduces horsepower to 169 and torque to 151 lb-ft. Standard FWD also limits the potential of this model. The continuously variable transmission indicates an emphasis on efficiency and not an exhilarating driving experience. AWD is only available in the UX 250H. This hybrid generates 181 horsepower.

If you are looking for power, response and a personalized driving experience, the GLB makes a statement over the UX.

The 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLB offers more passenger comfort and versatility

One of the most important rules of vehicle interior design is to create ample room for all occupants. The GLB includes 1034 mm of front head room, a much greater amount than the UX’s 907 mm. The GLB also features significantly more front shoulder room and rear leg, head and shoulder room. The UX doesn’t pass the test for a roomy, modern cabin.

The Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) uses intelligent voice control with natural speech recognition that helps you connect with the vehicle and adjust several functions inside the vehicle. This is a technology that the Lexus UX does not have.

The GLB’s roominess extends to cargo volume. With rear seats folded, it features 1804 litres of loadable space. This volume permits the GLB to offer a third row. Owners also appreciate up to 680 litres of volume behind the rear seats without a third row, and 569 litres with the optional third row folded. The flexibility enables The UX does not provide folding rear seats, so it is limited to 487 litres of total cargo capacity.

The Mercedes-Benz GLB is a faster, roomier and more capable vehicle than the Lexus UX. You can shop for your car online with us. Our representatives are waiting for your call and can answer all your questions about the 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLB.
