Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupe Gets A Few Improvements

The 2022 Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupe will get a host of new changes to the interior, exterior, and suspension when it arrives at the end of the year at Mercedes-Benz Kamloops. The new AMG GT 4-Door Coupe is heralded as one of the sportiest and most dynamic four-door cars available on the market, and the improvements made to the 2022 model should preserve its reputation.

The most significant change can be found at the suspension which is now a three-chamber air design with two pressure limiting valves added to the outside of each damper. One of the valves is designed to control compression while the other controls rebound. The goal is to make the AMG GT 4-Door Coupe more comfortable and sportier depending on the driving mode chosen.

The AMG GT 4-Door Coupe also gets a new metallic color (Spectral Blue) that is also available in a Magno matt finish, and a new Cashmere White Magno colour as well (matt).

Power should remain the same with the AMG GT 53 getting a standard inline-6 with 429 horsepower and 394 pound-feet of torque. The AMG GT 63 and 63 S should continue with the same engine lineup as well.

"We constantly maintain our AMG GT 4-Door Coupe at an outstanding technical level. With the current update and the exclusive edition, we are reaching out to the target groups that place the greatest value on individuality and an expressive lifestyle. In this way, we continue to develop our profile as a "Performance Luxury" brand and go on to substantiate this with tailor-made products and options. In addition, we will soon be presenting our first E PERFORMANCE hybrids in this model, thereby driving forward the electrification of the powertrain," says Philipp Schiemer, CEO of Mercedes-AMG GmbH.
