Mercedes EV in ‘23

2023 is setting up to be a banner year for the Mercedes-EQ all-electric sub brand as there are three new EQ vehicles joining the full-size EQS sedan for 2023: the EQB crossover, EQS SUV and EQE mid-size sedan. Here’s what they’re all about.

Mercedes-EQ EQB

Base don’t he boxy and fun GLB crossover, the EQB will finally be arriving in showrooms as it makes its way out of the production delay doldrums that have hit the industry so hard over the last few years. It will be arriving as the EQB 350 4Matic complete with 288 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque, fed to all four wheels as standard. It also gets 419 km of range and with Mercedes-EQ’s proprietary trip computer that can help you plan your trips with charge stops in mind.

Mercedes-EQ EQE

It stands to reason that one of the brand’s most popular cars should be one of the first to get an EV version and so it goes that the EQE is coming to the line-up for 2023. There’s more room inside than a standard E-Class, it’s cleaner thanks to new Energizing Air Control tech and of course, it’s very futuristic. It also gets a 90 kWh battery and power is rated at 288 hp and 417 lb-ft of torque. Charging from 10-100%, meanwhile, should take no more than 30 minutes on a level III DC fast charger.

Mercedes-EQ EQS SUV

When it comes time to move the family, a three-row SUV is a fantastic choice. When it comes to moving them in style, meanwhile, a Mercedes is a fantastic choice and when it comes to moving them efficiently, well, why not a Mercedes EV SUV with three rows of seating? The EQS SUV will have a range of over 600 kilometers – perfect for family road trips – and with a power output of up to 536 hp, it will get you where you need to go both efficiently and quickly. Even with all this power, expect similar charge times to the EQE.
