The new 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLS introduced

Mercedes-Benz has once again amped up its game and has unveiled the updated versions of the GLS, Maybach GLS 600 4MATIC, and AMG GLS 63 4MATIC+. These large SUV models have undergone a facelift, with design, technology, and equipment changes that take the comfort, connectivity, and ambience of the vehicle to the next level. The GLS has always been well-known for its generous dimensions, and now its spacious interior can comfortably accommodate up to seven passengers across three seat rows. The new and upgraded Mercedes-Benz GLS is set to arrive in Canadian dealerships by Q3 2023, complete with features that set it apart from its predecessors, making it one of the most sought-after cars of its class.

A Wide Range of Powertrain Options

The 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLS is undoubtedly a powerful luxury SUV that boasts impressive performance capabilities. Equipped with either a turbocharged 3.0-litre six-cylinder or a twin-turbo 4.0-litre V8, the GLS 450 4MATIC and GLS 580 4MATIC can produce a maximum output of 375 hp and 510 hp, respectively. Meanwhile, the Mercedes-AMG GLS features a more potent 4.0-litre V8 capable of producing up to 603hp.

Not only are these engines capable of delivering breathtaking power, but they also offer impressive torque figures. The GLS 580 4MATIC, for instance, has a peak torque output of 538 lb-ft, while the GLS 450 4MATIC produces a maximum of 369 lb-ft. Additionally, both models come equipped with an additional torque (boost) of 185 lb-ft, further increasing their overall pulling power. With this amount of torque at the ready, the GLS is an SUV that can easily tow a boat or haul heavy loads with ease.

Despite its size, the Mercedes-Benz GLS can reach top speeds of 210 km/h and accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in as little as 4.9 seconds (GLS 580 4MATIC). The GLS 450 4MATIC is not far off, with its 0-100 km/h acceleration only taking a fraction longer at 6.1 seconds. These impressive performance outputs are mostly thanks to their powerful powertrains, state-of-the-art transmission, and advanced chassis systems. Overall, the 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLS is an SUV that delivers an impeccable driving experience, striking a balance between power, performance, and luxury.

Refreshed Exterior

The 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLS has undergone significant exterior enhancements to deliver a stunning and striking look. At first glance, the SUV can be readily identified by its redesigned, highly prominent bumper that boasts integrated air inlet grilles and a surround in high-gloss black. But the real eye-catcher is the even more striking radiator grille with its four galvanized louvres in high-quality Silver Shadow, which further amplifies the car's luxurious vibe. The GLS now features a redesigned simulated underguard and a lavish set of horizontal block pattern lights that elegantly wrap around the rear of the vehicle, highlighting its grandeur. Built to impress and inspire, the GLS exudes a remarkable level of confidence and sophistication that sends a clear message about its performance pedigree. The 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLS is the perfect representation of what the brand stands for – luxury, functionality, and unmatched design.

New MBUX System

Mercedes-Benz has been working meticulously to update its infotainment system, adding advanced features and improving functionality to enhance the driving experience in the new 2024 GLS.

The new MBUX infotainment system brings with it a modern and sleek look with three different display styles to choose from – classic, sporty, and discreet – catering to the individual preferences of the driver. The classic style is tried and tested, featuring a two-tube design with all familiar content between the two round displays. The sporty style, on the other hand, is characterized by a vibrant red color, with a dynamic central rev counter design. The discreet style keeps it minimal by reducing content to only the essential features. Furthermore, both displays are available in seven color schemes that integrate seamlessly with the ambient lighting, resulting in an immersive color experience in the car's interior. In addition to the display styles, the MBUX system in the 2024 GLS offers a wide range of features. The central display is equipped with all the essential features and operated through an intuitive touchscreen interface. The Navigation, Assistance, and Service modes provide easy access to all the necessary driver assistance features, including maps, real-time traffic updates, parking assistance, and more.

Moreover, the enhanced MBUX infotainment system ensures seamless connectivity with your smartphone, enabling access to your favorite apps, music, and contacts. Furthermore, the MBUX system comes with voice recognition technology, making it possible to interact with the car without taking your hands off the wheel. The virtual assistant can help you find the nearest restaurant or gas station, play your favorite tunes, or even adjust the climate control settings. In conclusion, the 2024 GLS equipped with the new MBUX infotainment system is a prime example of Mercedes-Benz's dedication to innovation and customer satisfaction. The advanced features and intuitive controls elevate the driving experience to a whole new level, allowing for seamless connectivity and convenient interaction with the car's technology. The MBUX system is a crucial reason why the new GLS is considered one of the most advanced and luxurious SUVs on the market.

New Off-Road Mode

The Off-Road Mode brings special content like compass, gradient, lateral inclination, and steering angle into a visually interactive experience. Additionally, the Parking Package provides a 360-degree camera that offers a "transparent engine hood" function. When the Off-Road mode is active, the central display shows a virtual view under the front of the vehicle, composed of images from the 360-degree camera. The transparent engine hood provides drivers with a better view of obstacles such as large stones, deep potholes, and other obstacles that could otherwise go unnoticed. With these off-road features, the new 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLS is poised to be one of the most capable off-road SUVs on the market, delivering an enhanced and thrilling driving experience for all adventure enthusiasts.
