This is our first look at the brand-new 2023 Mercedes-EQ EQE SUV

The all-new 2023 Mercedes-EQ EQE SUV was introduced over the weekend as the latest fully electric sport utility vehicle from Mercedes-Benz. It was also joined by the first ever electric SUV from AMG. Let's take a closer look at what this impressive new Mercedes-Benz EV has to offer.

The first-ever AMG electric SUV

The brand-new 2023 Mercedes-EQ EQE SUV will be offered in two versions when it arrives in North America in March. The first will be the EQE SUV 350 4Matic that will deliver 288 hp and 564 pound-feet of torque. The second will be the EQE SUV 500 4Matic that will push out 402 hp and 633 pound-feet of torque. As for the range topping Mercedes-AMG EQE 4Matic+ SUV, early specs indicate it will feature an impressive 677 hp with a remarkable maximum boost of 738 pound-feet of torque. Mercedes-AMG says this will be enough to reach 100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds.

The 2023 Mercedes-AMG EQE 4Matic+ SUV will be the first-ever AMG electric SUV. The on-paper specs suggest that it will reach 100 km/h faster than any other current gas-powered AMG SUV. Moreover, it will feature multiple driving modes as well as three distinct Performance Sound options. We also expect it to offer sharp handling and the traditional sporty performance that we associate with AMG vehicles.

Both the EQE SUV in the AMG EQE SUV will offer a luxurious and spacious interior complete with an available 141-cm MBUX Hyperscreen.

As for charging, the EQE SUV will offer up to 170 kW of charging capability while owners can also charge at 22 kW on a home charging station. We don't have all of the details regarding range, but we expect the new EQE SUV to offer between 425 and 475 km.
